NY Primary Program in the News

September 14, 2010

Today is Primary Day in New York and The New York Times, WNYC, and the New York Daily News recently posted online stories highlighting Election Protection's program.  New York City voters are heading to the polls today to use the new optical scan ballots for the first time.  To assist voters with questions about the new machines and help resolve any problems at the polling place, Election Protection is deploying legal field teams to polling places in all five boroughs and will be running the 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline from 5:30am - 9:30pm.

The New York Times published a short article today about the Election Protection program, "Primary Tuesday"

WNYC's Aisla Chang wrote an article yesterday about Election Protection's program, "Election Watchdogs Positioned to Record Voting Mishaps Caused By New Ballots."

On September 10, Celeste Katz of the New York Daily News wrote a blog post, "Anticipating Confusion With New Voting System, Lawyers Group Offers Primary Day Hotline."
