UA James E. Rogers College of Law students Emily Kane and Erin Ford initiated an effort among fellow students to protect voters at the polls on Election Day. Because of their shared sentiments on voting rights and passion for democracy, Kane, Ford, and a team of "80 UA law students [are] training to become Election Day poll watchers" with support from the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Their group will man the only Election Protection Command Center in Southern Arizona.
